Every order was keyed into NetSuite twice.
Orders landed in the company's sourcing platform, but finance worked in NetSuite. For each order, someone checked whether a sales order or purchase order already existed, created it if not, and then matched the order by hand. At about 500 orders a month, that was 30 minutes each, and unmatched orders piled up before month-end.
A digital worker that checks before it creates.
A Ramain digital worker reads each new order, checks NetSuite for an existing sales or purchase order, creates any that are missing and syncs the order. When something does not add up, such as a missing PO, a vendor mismatch, a duplicate or a NetSuite validation error, it stops and sends the case to finance with the run attached.
Half the time per order, from the first month.
- Time per order down from 30 minutes to 15.
- About 250 hours of manual work a month taken off the team.
- Finance now works only the exceptions.
